[002] [action] closing shift
[After this thread, Touya has gone flying off into the forest despite the snow and cold weather. He can't stand to stay in the same house as Yue at the moment, so he's flown off to stay in the forest by himself. Just until Yue comes around. He would remember soon enough, wouldn't he?]
[Well, it's been a few days and his love hasn't come to bring him home yet. At least his own affinities were the same as Yue's, so he wasn't dying of frostbite or starving. He is, however, doing a marvelous job of sulking which isn't at all like him. He's curled his large black wings around him to shield him from the snow and create a small fort-like shelter.]
[Yue would come find him. He just had to stay away long enough and the other guardian would figure it out.]

Yue had been quite certain that, if left alone, Touya (or the reasonable facsimile thereof) would return home when he was ready to do so
like a cat in a tree. And so he'd ignored his absence, going about his routine with the notable exception of allowing Yukito out. Somehow he just... doesn't want Yukito to see this. It's easier to keep him sheltered from certain realities of this place.Still, after a couple of days and not even a glimpse of Touya, Yue finally gives a frustrated sigh and goes in search of him. He isn't exactly difficult to find, especially with the black wings against the snow, but the guardian doesn't dare approach too close with the memory of their last conversation clear in his mind. Instead he settles to rest on a broad branch of a tree nearby, watching the... rather altered young man with narrowed eyes.
Why is he acting like this, Yue wants to ask. What exactly happened, why are the Malnosso doing this, and when will it end. But none of the questions are likely to be ones Touya can or would answer, and so he remains silent.]

You aren't going to apologize for what happened?

[Really, he has no idea what Touya is sulking about. Except the... well, that thing. Which is clearly a sign that either this isn't really Touya or the Malnosso have some particularly bizarre entertainments.
Yue remains entirely still in the meantime; he could have been carved of ice, for all he seems to notice it surrounding him. All he intended to do was ensure that Touya was safe until whatever had been done finally wore off again. These things always wore off... right?]

[Touya closes his wings a little more--Yue's being difficult and it's definitely upsetting. Especially when they had been so close only a short time ago...]
Maybe there's nothing wrong with me--maybe the Malnosso have done something to you.

Not to mention that he's fairly certain he's never lost his dignity to such a degree to... never mind.]
The fact that you fled and spent several days sulking in the woods is my fault?
[Yue breathes a faint sigh, half-closing his eyes for a moment.]
You prove nothing by being out here. You should come back to the house.
If you wish to avoid me still there are the empty rooms upstairs.
no subject
[He closes up his wings even tighter.] I'd rather be out here by myself.

I don't... dislike you.
Our relationship is simply not what you seem to believe it to be.
[And he's fighting the impulse to pinch the bridge of his nose to fend off the approaching headache.]
no subject
Well, if you're so sure what our relationship is like, I guess I can understand it well enough now. This is what it feels like to be abandoned by your creator, isn't it?

There's a hiss of indrawn breath from Yue, as though that had been a physical blow, and without another word his wings spread wide and he takes to the skies. He's assured himself that Touya hasn't come to any harm while out in the forest, which should be sufficient. Perhaps they can speak again once this wears off -- which it hopefully will -- but right now Yue has no interest in further conversation.]
