[003] [audio] opening shift
[Filtered to Sanji and Yukito]
Hey Sanji-san, it's Kinomoto Touya--we met, uh, under weird circumstances I guess. I really wasn't myself, but I remember you!
And I remember you had a restaurant here, right? A friend of mine and I are kind of looking for something to do--we're getting a little tired of the ongoing vacation--and we both have restaurant experience. So if there's something you need done around your place... well, I can't provide references, but we've been waiters since we could work.
So... what do you say?

[And with that said, Sanji chooses to go dead silent, alternating between bowing his head, eyes closed, and then watching with an unreadable expression.
Impress him, guys. 8|]

You handle the main course, I've got the dessert. [He rolls up his own sleeves and washes up while Yuki's going through the fridge.]
[Touya's spent most of his employed life as a waiter, but he did work at this one crepe place where he had to actually make them on occasion. He had some presentation practice there. And sometimes he'd put swirls on Sakura's pancakes and things...]
[He decides that sticking with what he can do best is probably better than trying to do something crazy-fancy and failing miserably. Banana, honey, and almond sounded like the best way to go. Once Yuki's cleared the refrigerator, he takes his turn to find what he needs.]
[Action]
He rummages through the supplies, murmuring thoughtfully to himself as he gathers chicken, vegetables, rice, and mushrooms, among other things.]
Cream stew? With rice, but... ah, chestnuts! Chestnut rice, that'd go well with it. And winter themed....
[Touya seems to know what he's going to do, so Yukito just sets to work, humming happily to himself and not paying too much attention to Sanji in the corner.]

[For now, he focuses on the dish itself. He's making the crepe itself with rice flour--it's a Japanese dessert crepe, after all--and starts chopping the almonds into long slivers while the first side is cooking in the pan. Fortunately he can do this without cutting himself, despite almonds being a finicky thing to cut.]
[Action]
Everything he does is neat, efficient, and precise, showing the ease of long practice. Sometimes he wonders about that, given that he knows only the last three years of memories are true ones, but... that's getting into territory Yue won't talk about, so he doesn't bother asking. He's simply pleased with the fact that he can quickly reduce a pile of mushrooms and scallions into neat, even pieces before adding them to the pan for the rice.]
[Action]
He's seen all he needs to, in terms of their prepping, retreating back to the wall until they're finished]
[Action]
[Still, he does have one good trick: he can flip the crepe without using a tool to do it.
That was how real men did it.][He lays out the fruit like scales on a fish, then drizzles on the honey (not too much--bananas have some sweetness too, after all) and sprinkles on the almonds. Once it's done and on the plate, he slides it into the oven to keep warm until Yuki was done.]
[Action]
If you have a minute, maybe a salad to balance it out? There are some greens and daikon... sesame dressing would probably blend well.
[Suggestions aren't cheating, right? They still work together, even if Touya does the actual work for that.]
