[010] [action/audio] covering a shift

[This isn't the first time Touya's woken up to an empty side of the bed, but it is the first time he's gone to bed alone. In a house with only him in it.]

[He comes out of the bedroom and casts cursory glances around the living room and kitchen. No sign of either of them. Twenty minutes with a bowl of cereal and his journal tell him there's no word on the network either. His shoulders come down, and he stares at the journal and his empty bowl. After a minute, he reaches over and starts a recording.]

After being kidnapped, where in Luceti have people been returned to? If I was looking for someone who had come back, where would I look?

... I suppose so... but it's not quite so large for me, I suppose, since the flowers would tell me if they spot someone who's returned from a kidnapping.

[Okay, so, communicating with flowers is a little weird. But Touya isn't going to knock it if it's a way to monitor some locations.]

It would be very helpful. It would mean I wouldn't have to make an entire circuit of Luceti every day. [He could just stick to the town and lake areas if the flowers have the forest perimeter monitored.]

A boxed lunch...? It's, like a portable meal. That you take with you to eat when you're not at home for lunch. [Wow, he thought the concept of a lunch box was pretty universal. Apparently not?] I'll make you one. Do you have any foods you don't like?

And I know a little about gardening. I'm not an expert, though.

Sure, I can help if you tell me what to do. I used to work in a nursery, but it wasn't really 'gardening'. At least, I wouldn't call it really intense gardening...

I can make a bunch of vegetarian dishes. Let me know when to come by and I'll bring a lunch for you.
