[005] double overtime [audio]
This weather is making it impossible to plan anything. I don't know if it'll be snowing, hailing, or if a tornado is going to blow through today.
What's everyone planning on for their girlfriends or boyfriends? Is everybody just staying in...?
What's everyone planning on for their girlfriends or boyfriends? Is everybody just staying in...?
[action]
[Yukito laughs quietly, his fingers tracing the curve of the wing down to where it joins Touya's shoulder. The feathers are softer there, and Yukito carefully traces the outline of one, idly fascinated by the contrast between it and the skin just next to it.
He's half-distracted by Touya's closeness as well, acutely aware of his warmth, his scent, the feel of his chest rising and falling with each breath; somehow it seems even more real than usual, dizzyingly, breathtakingly so. It takes him a second to find the thread of the conversation again, but he covers the lapse with another laugh, voice taking on a teasing air.]
Well, I suppose I could. I admit I'm curious about this mysterious plan of yours.
[action]
Well you know, if you leave the house, I'll just have to follow you to your other boyfriend's place. Whisk you away in front of him. Maybe in a bunny costume.
[action]
[His tone is so absolutely innocent that it should be warning enough, and a moment later his hand shifts down toward the ticklish spot at Touya's side.]
On second thought, though, it sounds like too much work. I'll just stay here.
[action]
Tickling without warning is dangerous, you know. And it also invokes retaliation. [He smirks over his shoulder as he walks to set the chocolates down on the table, next to the roses. Then he turns around.] But for now--I thought since it was cold I would make us some soup. Mushrooms okay?
[action]
Yukito just grins and follows along after Touya, pausing to admire the roses before being distracted by mention of food.]
Of course! Anything you'd like to make is good, though soup does sound nice.
[action]
[He's planned the meal at least. The rest of it he's kind of... making up as he goes.] Will that be enough to sate your stomach for the evening, or do I need to add a second dessert?
[action]
[Yukito reaches out to take Touya's hand in his, lacing their fingers together as he smiles.]
I'm certain I'll be happy with whatever and however much there is.
[action]
[Which, if they keep at this pace, will land them with no dinner for hours. Touya pushes some of Yuki's hair behind his ear, admiring his boyfriend.] If I don't stop this, there won't be much at all for you to eat.
[action]
[Yukito quirks a grin and reaches up to meet the kiss as it comes, one hand closing in the fabric of Touya's shirt and encouraging him to get even closer still. Somehow he doesn't mind the distraction, even if it's coming at the cost of a delay in his next meal. Some things are just more important, really.]
[He shivers lightly at the touch against his hair, goosebumps prickling along his arms and wings twitching a little in reaction.]
I suppose I could go into the other room while you cook, if it would make things easier... though that sounds a little lonely for both of us.
[action]
Here--[He turns around and pulls Yuki's arms around his waist.] I think I can cook like this. What do you think?
Re: [action]
I think I can manage, somehow.
[action]
You'll manage to distract me somehow. [He chuckles and moves them over to the fridge, where he pulls out the various ingredients he was able to prepare ahead of time.]
[action]
Hmm, that sounds almost like a challenge.
[It's half a laugh, half serious, but at least Yukito waits until Touya isn't holding anything potentially drop-able before he starts idly brushing his fingertips along the smooth feathers of one wing.]
[action]
[action]
[His attempt at injured innocence is rather marred by the faint giggle, though. Yukito is somewhat amused by Touya's silent approval of the attention to his wing and just continues stroking the feathers, pausing for a moment to gently reposition one that was a little out of place. It distracts him from his rumbling stomach, at least.]
[action]
[Yuki's fingers working at the feather sends stronger, pleasured shivers down his back. He hadn't been expecting that at all. But he supposes there are so many nerves in his wings, that getting at what's under his feathers is just electrifying.]
[Coincidentally, it also makes him cook faster.]
Where did you learn that?
[action]
Hmm, learn what?
[action]
How to give such amazing wing massages? You should do that every morning, they always feel stiff in the morning.
[action]
Somehow I got the idea in my head that you might like that.
[And someone is a little put out that Yukito said anything about where he got that idea, so he'll just change the subject quickly.]
When we went over bird's wings in biology I paid a lot of attention, because... well, I was thinking about Yue-san. Ours aren't quite like ordinary bird's wings, but these, here, these smaller feathers here are coverts, and these are secondaries... these are primaries...
[He traces a fingertip over the appropriate feathers as he names them, then carefully slides his fingers through the primaries when he reaches them.]
[action]
Well if anyone should know about feathers, it's you two. [He takes the beef medallions out of the fridge and starts looking for the pan to braise them in.]
[action]
[One last brush across the feathers and Yukito leaves the wings alone again for the time being, instead peeking over Touya's shoulder to see what he's up to now.]
Is it almost ready?
[action]
[It turns into about thirty minutes, of course, since Yuki can't stop distracting Touya. But finally both plates are done and set out on the counter.]
[action]
It smells wonderful. I suppose this was worth waiting for, hmm?
[action]
Sir? [He smiles and makes a sweeping gesture to indicate Yuki should sit.]
[action]
[Yukito takes the offered seat with a quiet laugh, eyes dancing as he surveys the table and settings. It's not so much that Touya made dinner as that he'd made an effort for it to be a special dinner, and all just for him. It makes him feel both happy and humbled at the same time, and incredibly lucky as well.]
I'm glad I have you to share this with, Touya.
