Re: APRIL 14 / MORNING / ACTION
[Touya comes out of the bedroom, in his robe, scratching his head and holding a slip of paper. It's still early enough that Touya thinks that whoever this 'guest' is, they aren't up yet. After all, not everybody has a job to get to.]
[It's a little annoying though. This was his house as much as it was Yue and Yuki's. What was so dire that this person couldn't go back to their own house?]
[God he hoped he wouldn't be mopping vomit out of the bathroom, but Yue didn't seem to have the patience for that. Touya looks over at the door to the bathroom though--]
[And he nearly drops the note because okay really big wings suddenly and Yuki's still in bed, he's sure he was just there. It's just the last vestiges of sleep confusing him though. Obviously this 'guest' is blonde. And male. And beautiful.]
[And suddenly yes, Touya is wishing Yue had woken him up to ask first because this feels a little underhanded...]
Hi. [He turns the note around. It reads, 'There is a guest in the upstairs bedroom.'] I'm guessing this refers to you?
no subject
reyson nearly leaps out of his skin at the voice, whipping around to face the source and oh, this guy doesn't look too happy. not that reyson can blame him - he just woke up. to this.. big winged guy in his house. that isn't yue.
if only he had risen five minutes earlier this would not have happened. ]
Err.. yes. I apologize if I woke you-
no subject
[Not that he wasn't annoyed. What was so special about this guy? Aside from the blond and the wings and the pretty and the magic (most likely). Besides all of those things, Touya was just as good a companion, probably better. They had kissed after--]
[...was this stranger now in their house because Touya couldn't get it together and 'show them the depth of his feelings'
if you know what I mean? And now Yue was feeling unfulfilled and had to go to some pretty, nancy-boy, stick-with-wings--][A muscle goes in Touya's face.] Do you eat?
no subject
and this guy's feelings. wow. um. reyson's eyes flit toward the front door. why don't herons have magical evaporating powers? this is all very awkward, but reyson is too courteous to just go storming out without answering his ques--
-- wait what kind of a question is that. ]
.. Pardon?
[ THIS GUY..... ]
no subject
Do you eat? Food. [He holds up the note again.] Yue doesn't eat, I was asking if you do.
[Because honestly, it isn't this poor guy's fault that Touya is now officially a terrible boyfriend
BUT HE PROBABLY DIDN'T DISCOURAGE ANYTHING EITHER. And Touya wasn't petty enough to throw one of Yue's friends out because he was upset and jealous.][He'll feed him, then throw Wingstick out. That was polite, kind of.] I was going to make breakfast.
no subject
Oh! Um, yes, I eat, but.. ah, that's all right. I won't take up any more of your time, and my diet is - well, very strict.
[ why is everyone in this place so cranky all the time.. is it a beorc thing? ike was never this crabby, even in the mornings, and he was practically raised in a barn. ]
But thank you, for the offer.
[ the door.. it's so far......... ]
/DIVES IN
And apparently Touya had run into him? Oh, dear.
He heads out of the bedroom in his pajamas, not even bothering to find a robe, and absently pushes his glasses into place as he stifles a yawn. He doesn't have far to go to find the pair, and his vaguely sleepy expression quickly turns into a bright smile as he nods to Reyson before resting a light hand on Touya's arm.]
Good morning, Reyson-san. Did you sleep well?
no subject
[Something happened.]
[Touya stares, silent, at the stranger. Not moving into the kitchen, not saying 'Oh I insist', nothing. Just staring, and trying to decide what to do next. Because honestly, he didn't know what to do or think. He was too hurt to know.]
[Yuki saves Wingstick from more intense staring, though Touya was really geared up to just stare him out the door. He looks down at Yuki's hand on his arm, then back to 'Reyson-san', resuming the staring.]
FAILATHON
[ .. this is just going from bad to worse.
--- and who is this guy!? yue made it sound like he only had one roommate. ]
Ahh- I'm sorry, do I know you..?
[ and goodness that man is RUDE, reyson sighs and runs a hand over his face. this is awful. ]
no subject
[And Yukito will just be here beaming cheerfully as though there's absolutely no tension in the room whatsoever. It's a lovely morning, everyone! Let's enjoy it!]
I apologize, we should start with introductions. Touya, this is Reyson. He's Yue-san's friend and he needed a place to stay last night.
Reyson-san, this is Kinomoto Touya, the one Yue-san told you about. And I'm Tsukishiro Yukito. I'm—
[He pauses for a moment there, tilting his head a little with a thoughtful air. —the one Yue-san didn't tell you about?
This could be complicated.]
I'm, ah. Yue-san's... other self.
no subject
[He inclines his head briefly at the introduction and makes a noise in the back of his throat, but it looks a less like a bow and more like he has rigor mortis. Touya does have the urge to take Yuki's hand and hold it there, just to make things more obvious, but he isn't going to be clingy or cliche or tug Yuki around like he was some sort of thing.]
no subject
-.. well, all of that shock is coming right back. this is just the morning of bizarre happenings, isn't it? ]
It's a pleasure to meet you both, but.. you're..
[ ...... ]
I'm afraid I don't understand.
[ yue all of this is all your fault. ]
no subject
A moment later the white-feathered cocoon opens to reveal Yue, his expression so very neutral that it has to be masking something. He gives Reyson a slightly stiff nod in greeting, then glances toward Touya with a slight arch of one pale brow.]
There seems to be some confusion?
no subject
Nor is he going to point out that he understood it the first time he saw Yue, that would be petty. He steps back, a little startled himself when Yue makes an appearance (which does take Yuki's hand off his arm and that makes him frown a little).][But probably even more awkward is the fact that there are two men with giant wingspans in this tiny house. Touya looks around the small space they're all having this meeting in and notes that it's distinctly... cramped.]
You didn't tell him about Yuki. I think that's grounds for confusion when he wakes up and you're nowhere. [Touya raises an eyebrow back. Why yes, Yue, he does look a little annoyed at you. That's a new and different thing.]
no subject
that just means you're a simple man who doesn't question the world around you okayanyway wow okay transformation isn't really a big deal to him, being a laguz and all it's just about second nature, but transforming into an entirely different person? can't say he's ever seen something like that before.
his green eyes flit from yue, to touya, then to yue again. maybe this is just a big awkward nightmare and he'll be waking up again any moment. ]
Yes, I- err. I suppose I understand, now.
[ honestly it raises more questions than the answers it provides, but those are better left for another time. ]
no subject
My apologies. Perhaps I should have mentioned... but I hadn't expected it would be an issue.
[Nor that allowing him to sleep in an empty room would be an issue, really. It wasn't as though Reyson was moving in or anything, and he had left a note. What was the problem?]
no subject
Yukito is Yue's other self, but they both hear everything the other does. Most of the time. So Yukito knows who you are too.
[Which means yes, he's the only one out of the loop.]
no subject
either way, he feels personally at fault. he never should have gone out last night. ]
I .. see. [ yeah he still has a lot of questions, but they can wait. he'll just have to accept this for what it is, for now. ] Regardless, I apologize if I-- err, woke you.
no subject
Yue drifts a bit closer to Reyson, feathers ruffling slightly with the mild agitation he can't quite manage to hide. It would seem that he'd done something wrong, though he isn't entirely certain what and most definitely does not want to take the blame for it, but he knows that he doesn't want to alienate his new... acquaintance.
Friend, Yukito corrects in a whisper, and Yue's wings flick lightly to dismiss the thought.]
I... regret the confusion. And I can offer explanations at a later time, should you wish it.
no subject
[And now that Yue, the authority on his and Yukito's situation, has offered to explain, Touya's going to disengage and maybe, oh, put a shirt on and make breakfast for himself (since everybody else doesn't want to eat).]
no subject
-- oh no where is he going? reyson shoots him a momentary glare, then immediately regrets it; his temper is bubbling close to the surface, but it won't do the make enemies. especially not if he plans to remain acquaintances - friends - with yue.
and so the glare crumples, and reyson sighs, his shoulders slumping. ]
It's nothing. I overreacted. I apologize.
[ BAH. ]
no subject
You should be safe to return home, now that it's light out. If... you did not wish to stay for breakfast.
[It isn't that he's trying to kick you out or anything, really. It's just that maybe this discussion should be held at a later time and he's grasping to change the subject quickly.]
no subject
[Touya reemerges, finishing pulling down a t-shirt and wearing slippers now. He might not have been able to get Reyson to stay for breakfast, but Yue might. He heads into the kitchen to start the food--either way, he's going to eat.]
Am I cooking for Yukito too? [He asks as he opens the refrigerator.]
no subject
instead he's struggling internally, attempting to decide which would be more discourteous - declining breakfast, or sticking around. well, refusing the offer seems ungrateful, but accepting means more of this painful awkwardness.
there is no right answer.
but eventually reyson gives in. clearing his throat, he shoots yue an apologetic glance, then steps toward the kitchen. ]
Do you need any help?
[ he can make a mean fruit salad okay. ]
no subject
I certainly have no intention to eat.
However—
[He cuts off for a moment, drawing his wings about himself in a rush of incandescent light, and then Yukito blinks, smiles, and finishes the sentence.]
—give me just a moment to change, and I'll help as well.
