[Touya's life guys. Touya's life.]

[It began simply enough: Yuki had come home, lugging a work costume Touya hoped he would never see again. 'Why don't you try it on?']

[The answer was also simple: 'Hell no.' The costume was hot, and the head was huge, and Touya didn't ever want to wear it again. It had been bad enough the one time. And then there was a bet made, and Touya thought he would never, ever lose.]

['You both conspired against me, I know it.' And Yuki had just smiled and held up the mascot head.]

[It's a special Thursday, Luceti. Because this is how Touya is dressed while he hands out balloons in the main square until sundown. After which he will be running home and vowing never, ever, to make a bet with his boyfriends ever again.]
complexing: (brain killer)
[The video starts up and Touya looks rather intensely into the camera. For having just turned 21, he looks fairly grumpy.]

Okay, so my birthday only comes around once every four years, technically, so I figure I get a free pass at this. It isn't a joke, nobody laugh.

The person... people... [He huffs in frustration and decides to keep this simple.] The person I'm with wants to take our relationship to an intimate level and I don't know how to make it special or memorable or nice or whatever. Can anyone give me some advice or something?

[A fairly hostile video for a request but... the subject has clearly been on his mind for a few days. Long enough that he's so desperate for advice, he's gone public.]

[Action]

[Even though it's his birthday, Touya isn't making such a big deal out of it. He goes to work at Seventh Heaven, picks up some groceries (ingredients for one of his favorite meals), and walks home. Meanwhile, he's pondering the responses he's received from the network and, oddly enough, thinking about his mother. Had she ever thought that she would see her son turn 21? It wasn't much of a milestone, honestly, but Touya always tended to think about his mom on his birthday, and all of those small celebrations he'd had when he was younger. And how annoyed he was when his dad explained why Touya's birthday wasn't always on the calendar.]

[Some of these memories have Touya smiling at times when maybe it wasn't really appropriate to smile, but he isn't thinking about everyone else at the moment.]
complexing: (dear god wat)
[As Touya makes his commute to work, it's hard not to notice how busy the usually quiet streets of Luceti have become. Most mornings he's lucky to run into more than six people, but today is... well, it's kind of a zoo.]

[And it's a little disconcerting, really. An influx of people might mean New Feathers, but a massive influx of people? It suggests that some Malnosso may be up to no good. He walks by, keeping mostly to himself, occasionally locking eyes with a random passer-by--just to make sure this isn't some kind of strange illusion or experiment. But what sort of experiment would it be? 'Let's see what happens when everyone thinks about 100 new people have shown up'?]

[Voice]

So everybody's been noticing the new people... and it's definitely more than the usual New Feather cycle. Anybody thought that maybe this is an experiment?

Also... wait times at Seventh Heaven may be longer than usual due to the uh... influx.

[Action]

[Interestingly enough, Sunday morning doesn't look nearly as exciting as it had on Saturday night. Touya wakes up with one thought on his mind: wedding.]

[...wedding.]

[Oh holy hell, WEDDING?!]

[Touya bolts upright, his kingly wedding apparel still hung up delicately and ready for the festivities. Ready for him to marry Yue in. Joining a princess and a prince to become rulers of Luceti. How on earth did he ever think this was his life? Touya looks next to him, wondering if Yue is still there or if he has to go tearing through the village looking for him.]

[Once he's caught up with Yue, Touya takes a moment for probably a needless announcement, but nonetheless...]

In case anyone is confused, Yue and I are not getting married today.

...and I'm not the king of Luceti.

[Touya looks awkwardly at the camera for another beat and then shuts it off after looking appropriately kerfluffled.]

[The video starts up and Touya is sitting in a brocade-upholstered high-backed chair in blue, dressed in a completely new set of clothes. He's even smiling, which is rare for him--benevolent and regal.]

People of Luceti. I have delightful and exciting news. Yesterday, the fair Yue agreed to become my husband, and we will be married next Sunday. I am taking this opportunity to invite you, my fair subjects, to the event. My future queen and I would be very glad to see you all.

[/Video]

[Action]

[And as if that invitation wasn't enough, Touya is now riding around town on a black horse, cape draped over the back of the horse and his head held high. As though he were a king. He's taking this opportunity to invite people personally--not to mention survey his kingdom. Luceti is his kingdom, after all...]

[And Touya is way down the rabbit hole.]
complexing: (genuine concern)
[This isn't the first time Touya's woken up to an empty side of the bed, but it is the first time he's gone to bed alone. In a house with only him in it.]

[He comes out of the bedroom and casts cursory glances around the living room and kitchen. No sign of either of them. Twenty minutes with a bowl of cereal and his journal tell him there's no word on the network either. His shoulders come down, and he stares at the journal and his empty bowl. After a minute, he reaches over and starts a recording.]

[Audio]

After being kidnapped, where in Luceti have people been returned to? If I was looking for someone who had come back, where would I look?
complexing: (NOT COOL)
[For the most part, Touya's been pretty good at avoiding enemy attacks and dealing with the rooms in his house turning into the inside of a train, a swimming pool, an open field with mountains, and so on. It was a little aggravating, but there were some nice places for walks and serving dinner on the couch (due to the dining room being a race track) meant after-dinner snuggling. He was taking it all in stride.]

[A few days in, however, Touya gets his own special taste of Battle-Dome-Flavored wrath. He's on his way to take a look at what's popped up in the item shop when a pit opens up right under him, next to the fountain. The ground literally cracks and Touya finds himself sliding down a nearly sheer cliff, landing him at the bottom of a modestly narrow space. As he's gathering his bearings, he swears he sees a woman's face disappear into the side of the pit.]

[Everything has come out of Touya's messenger bag, including his journal which has started recording after hitting the ground. Touya gets up and starts trying to collect his things and figure out a way out of the pit... when something lands on his head--and bleats.]

[Touya stares at a stuffed sheep that has fallen out of the sky and landed in the pit with him. Did some kid toss it in after him in an attempt to 'help'? Looking up only confirms that there are more coming. Three, four, and suddenly they're coming down in droves. Touya is knee-deep in bleating stuffed animals, and more of their fluffy brethren are threatening to bury him. Fishing around blindly for his journal costs him a minute or so, and then he's nearly up to his shoulders in the unrelenting hail of fleecy magic threatening to smother him entirely. Trying to climb on top only compresses them, and results in the sheep-downpour reaching tempestuous proportions. What was this, Touya didn't even...]

Help! I'm in the... [Dear God.] --sheep pit...!
complexing: (Fighting)
[Touya wishes he could say he had been drafted and was recovering from his wounds--then at least he could tell people where he's been for the past two weeks. As it stands, he really doesn't remember much of anything aside from bright lights and the occasional person coming to feed him. Where he was, who he was with, and what happened: all of these things are blanks.]

[He stumbles out of the forest in the early afternoon, dressed in the clothes given to New Feathers, but he looks like he's been beaten up. His trek out of the forest was something out of legends. He must have run into every low branch, spiny plant, and mean squirrel possible. Though that really doesn't concern him right now.]

[Once he's out, he makes a break for his house, hobbling along but looking extremely driven. He opens the door far more forcefully than usual and calls for both Yuki and Yue. ...and no one answers.]

[He tears through the house, and when he finds that empty he tears through his journal. Nothing.]

Has anyone seen Yukito or Yue?

[Feel free to meet him on his way home, if you like! ♥]
complexing: (Oi Gawd...)
[That was... interesting.]

[Touya is lying awake in his and Yuki's bed, staring straight at his former-husband-now-boyfriend-again. Sure, not much had changed between them, aside from Touya being much more open with his affection and feelings, but there was also something nagging at the back of his head.]

[If they had been married for about a year, he and Yuki... probably had done that.]

[Not that Touya didn't love Yuki and want him to have everything, but Touya just wasn't ready for that, mentally. Thank goodness the festival and the monsters had kept them busy enough to not unknowingly do something. If they had a first time (and Touya hoped they would), he wanted it to be special--and not the result of some experiment.]

[He just hopes Yuki isn't going to be upset by what had happened between them during the experiment--Touya isn't.]

[Voice]

I've never really had a great big family like that before. Looking back on that week, it was a good experience. I had fun, even if it was an experiment. I hope nobody takes that the wrong way.

Neliel-san and Valvalis-san, [Ngh, this is so awkward to write, but he wants to say something.] I wanted to thank you both for being my mothers for a few days. I hope it wasn't too embarrassing, though.
complexing: (Guardiandog)
[Well, Touya can't say he's all that surprised when he woke up rolling around in an effort to scratch his back. Nor was he terribly surprised when Yue screeched at him when he'd surprised the sleeping Once-Guardian-Now-Cat. He'd deserved that one.]

[Though even if he'd been turned into a dog, that didn't mean life stopped. Touya still had groceries to get, meals to... prepare... Alright, so the lack of thumbs made it very difficult to cook anything, and getting the windows open had been absolute hell as well.]

[Though there's only so much one can do preparing cold food during a rainy month. Tonight, maybe something hot would be appreciated after a week of rain and gloom. And so Touya's heading to go fetch some dinner from Sanji and the Seventh Heaven crew--he just hopes that there's someone there to help him get a doggy bag together.]

((Meet him in town, at the restaurant, wherever! \o/))

This weather is making it impossible to plan anything. I don't know if it'll be snowing, hailing, or if a tornado is going to blow through today.

What's everyone planning on for their girlfriends or boyfriends? Is everybody just staying in...?
complexing: (Yuki Notebook)
[Filtered from Yue/Yukito]

I guess everybody's getting really excited about Valentine's Day. This will be my first Valentine's Day while in Luceti... and the first time in a long time that I've had someone to share it with. [He laughs a little.]

So I was wondering if anybody knew about any romantic spots. For a picnic dinner or something like that.

[Filtered to Sanji and Yukito]

Hey Sanji-san, it's Kinomoto Touya--we met, uh, under weird circumstances I guess. I really wasn't myself, but I remember you!

And I remember you had a restaurant here, right? A friend of mine and I are kind of looking for something to do--we're getting a little tired of the ongoing vacation--and we both have restaurant experience. So if there's something you need done around your place... well, I can't provide references, but we've been waiters since we could work.

So... what do you say?

[After this thread, Touya has gone flying off into the forest despite the snow and cold weather. He can't stand to stay in the same house as Yue at the moment, so he's flown off to stay in the forest by himself. Just until Yue comes around. He would remember soon enough, wouldn't he?]

[Well, it's been a few days and his love hasn't come to bring him home yet. At least his own affinities were the same as Yue's, so he wasn't dying of frostbite or starving. He is, however, doing a marvelous job of sulking which isn't at all like him. He's curled his large black wings around him to shield him from the snow and create a small fort-like shelter.]

[Yue would come find him. He just had to stay away long enough and the other guardian would figure it out.]
complexing: (Default)
[Here's a place you wouldn't expect Touya to be: on a roof.]

[He's looking a little different today, too. Specifically, he has a rather large pair of black wings in addition to his small ones, and his hair is significantly longer (read: it drags). He's surveying the village, looking for anyone who looks as though they may need help, protection, et cetera.]

[And, of course, he's looking for his dearest Yue. Touya can sense him, certainly, but he'll wait to make his presence known after Yue realizes he's there. They shared the same blood, after all--it was only a matter of time before Yue came to see him.]

[But until then, he's content to talk to anyone at all. His strength has rapidly returned since his illness, after all.]

((Touya has been AU'd from a fic where Yue turns him into a guardian. Have fun kids. ♥))
